Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes text commentary for Sunday's games on multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , following last week's discussion regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the amount of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the final quarter versus Denver, who play in London this Sunday.

However it was good to observe how Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to overcome the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the victory 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They are number one in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily rushing extra pass rushers instead they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap before drop them out and dispatch a nickel off the edge.

At the start in the campaign, it was noted on a program how the Broncos might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended the previous year strongly then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has stepped up big and recent running back JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide for rushing yards (over 400) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos are a team that wants to run first, because you can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while maintains in positive down and distances.

This has benefited QB the young passer, who came into the league as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to throw all over, but they don't move the mobility as Nix. He boasts exceptional arm talent, which is different, and he's so athletic.

His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to pass while moving, and finding varied release points to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass across the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays a lot of composure under pressure and is not really fazed by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.

When you constantly run the ball it eats up the clock and makes the opponent to stay in play extended periods, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence must cover the field vertically side to side. This proves draining.

The quarterback has pushed back at Payton on the sideline at times and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB who's kind of like play-dough. The coach can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and now surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having on offence is mostly down to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to help you during some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet are they good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a good place to be in their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (among the worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Since the league started recording takeaways decades ago, this team are also the first team to be without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB says the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run at leading the West.

This hinges upon what version Kansas City shows up they face since the Broncos {beat|def
