Netflix Selects Ideal Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that character reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and anime.

This performer joins several other fresh additions tasked with bringing the organization to life, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Although Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
