Pat Bamford Signs With the Blades Despite Initiating Abusive Chants Targeting Coach Chris Wilder
Patrick Bamford has signed with the Championship side only seven months after leading derogatory taunts aimed at their manager, Wilder.
The 32-year-old striker, without a club after departing from Leeds United, has agreed to a agreement with the second-tier club in difficulty through the winter. His lengthy career with Leeds was ended amicably this past summer.
One of the player's last memorable actions while at Leeds included starting insulting chants about Wilder during Leeds' promotion celebrations in April. Now, the former England player will feature under Wilder as Sheffield United's boss looks to lift the team he loves out of the bottom places.
Past Conflict Between the Striker and Wilder

Wilder called Bamford as a "muppet" when the situation was different during the 2018-19 season and the Blades won direct promotion whereas Leeds missed out in the promotion playoffs.
Making Amends and Moving Forward
Everything seems to have been put behind them with Sheffield United, the league's lowest scorers, in desperate need of improvement in attack and Bamford aiming to rejuvenate his playing days.

“We had 20 minutes and the same again I talked with Daniel as well and we had a longer discussion with him and he is a great person, a top guy. When I was playing we would dish it out and accept it and that is part and parcel of the game across all levels, even on a Sunday morning. I have absolutely no issue. I'm fine with it and I said that to Pat.”
