Six Suspects Apprehended Following €12 Million Heist on Gold Processing Laboratory in the French Republic

A team of six suspects using assault rifles and handguns employed explosives to force entry into a gold refining laboratory located in the city of Lyon, resulting in minor injuries to five employees during described as the latest high-profile broad daylight robbery to hit the nation.

The audacious robbery took place on Thursday late morning, with officers quickly arresting the suspected perpetrators and recovering the stolen goods assessed at around 12 million euros (£10.5M), as stated by authorities.

Five employees of Laboratoires Pourquery sustained minor injuries as a result of the detonation, and three individuals were taken to a medical facility for evaluation, officials confirmed. Twenty-eight employees were inside the facility when the thieves struck.

The individuals, believed to be career criminals, were taken into custody shortly after the incident in the nearby town of Vénissieux, according to investigative sources.
