An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
