Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
